Stringent Testing Means Qualified Results
It all stems from the passion we have for understanding the thermodynamics of product protection. We work closely with quality assurance teams and test every theory we develop using a variety of methods including chamber testing, live load testing, and finite element analysis. With this array of methods, we are able to learn how each of our products perform against the three forms of heat transfer: radiation, conduction, and convection.
Virtual Cold Chain
Ever wonder exactly when and where you can effectively use a SureTemp Elite Pallet Cover to prevent temp excursions and when you need to utilize a different cold chain solution? So did we. So we partnered with Smart CAE to formulate a Virtual Cold Chain model to determine lane risk analysis of the SureTemp Elite Pallet Cover. As part of the process, Smart CAE helped our partners calculate lane-specific product lifetimes, quantify risk for temperature excursions, optimize total cost of ownership, simulate digital twins of your shippers, and create data-based ambient temperature profiles. The graph to the right shows how our SureTemp® Elite Pallet Cover (300 gsm) performed in a controlled chamber environment of -10 celsius. The test pallet had an evenly distributed load of preconditioned CRT water (290.3 kg) with temperature monitors place throughout the load. The objective was to determine if the SureTemp® Elite Pallet Cover (300 gsm) was able to keep the temperature of the load above 3 celsius over a 12 hour period, with a starting temperature of 20C.
